Barbara Cigarroa

Producer

Barbara is a Texas native and, in addition to producing the Hickey Chronicles, has written and directed a number of short documentary and fiction films. Her work draws inspiration from her families Mexican routes and from conversations with individuals, such as Emmy nominated director Albert Maysles, whom she had the pleasure of working under in the Summer of 2011. A gradaute from Yale University in 2012, Barbara majored in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. She is moving to Austin, Texas next year, where she plans to develop her skills as a director and spend time writing short stories, novels, and screenplays. Barbara is exstatic to be apart of the Hicky Chronicles. After reading the script, she decided there was no way she could pass up being the smiling-sometimes-neurotic-fluttering producer-behind the scenes, a description she believes would appear on screen if she were ever to make a cameo.
